Trading Down in the Draft

Major off season moves

Paul Soliai NT
Provide great push up the middle and will be a good 2 year stop gap.

Donald Butler ILB
Makes ILB a strength with him and Freeman. Helps our coverage and provide enough support in the run game.

Taylor May ST/ILB/nickle CB/SS
He is here because of special teams. Mays and Sergio Brown will need to help our rookie punter.

Let walk

Pat McAfee, fan favorite but if we are going to cut ties it has to be now. I think we get a young hungry Punter for cheap in the draft. (yes i said draft a punter)

Samson Satele, enough said

Trade back Partner

Jets, need to put weapons around Geno while grabbing a top tier player in secondary to replace Antonio Cromartie

Or

Dolphins, need to grab best offensive line players available fast and early.

Or

Rams, with a ton of options for extra picks plus Redskins picks, they may still want to slide back into the second round for a QB. The possibility of having 2 or 3 picks in the first round and 2 in the second might tempt their FO.

Mock Draft

3rd Deone Bucannon SS/FS
He can come in and replace AB. He has nose for the ball and is a fierce hitter. Does need coaching up on his pursuit angles.

3rd DaQuan Jones DE/DT
Cory Redding will be his Obi-Wan Kenobi. He has great size and raw power to push and plow through offensive lines.

4th Ross Cockrell CB
He is a good pressman corner with fluid hips. He tracks ball well but isn't a ball hawk. He deflects the ball very well though.

5th Aaron Lynch DE/OLB
He is raw but talented. In a year or 3 could be a starter.

6th Tom Hornsey Punter
Boomstick replacement

7th Henry Joesph RB
A speedy elusive back that can catch. He can step into that roll of 3rd rb and be the fire to our Earth (T-rich), Wind (Ballard) and Fire (Joesph)

Notable Walk on

Colt Lyerla TE (Chud can earn his pay check and babysit/coach up this guy)

Shaq Evans WR (maybe a rare gem if he goes undrafted. Nice routes and hands but often is inconsistent. When hot he will catch everything and has decent speed after catch.)

Ty Zimmerman FS (he is good at zone dropping back reading QB eyes. I question his willingness to tackle but thats just my opinion.)
