So this is a question I've been thinking about recently with all the talk about the colts making an off season addition at the wide receiver position.
If I remember correctly the colts never carried more than 5 receivers this past season. At the beginning of the year it was Wayne, DHB, Reed, Hilton, Whalen. Then when Brazill came off suspension Whalen went back to the practice squad. When Reggie went down Whalen was called back up. Then when David Reed was released Da'Rick Rogers was activated, ending the season with Hilton, DHB, Brazill, Whalen and Rogers. (Not sure if this is 100% correct but I think it was something like that, couldn't find active rosters for each game)
Point being the colts never carried more than 5 receivers on the active roster, and with DHB gone and Wayne back that puts our receiving core at 5 players currently. Also with Allen coming back and Pep's offense running a lot of two TE sets its hard to imagine a 6th receiver getting playing time.
So my question is if the colts make an off season addition at WR through the draft or through FA what does that mean for Brazill, Whalen, or Rogers? Do we run with 6 guys on the active roster because we don't want to lose any of them? Does one of them get cut or traded? Do any of them even have trade value? What do you think the colts do?
