With free agency tomorrow, and lots of speculation about what the colts would/should do, a thought came into my head.
With criticism or not, the colts recently signed D'Qwell Jackson to a contract, some thought might be overpaying.
Regardless of the situation, I for one am a really big fan of his (and this signing), and have watched him for many years in Cleveland.
He's a guy that's the heart and soul type of guy on somebodies defense. He's almost to the Browns as Ray Lewis was to the Ravens (but not really because Sugar Ray is an animal). But you get the point, he's that type of guy and I'm excited about having a new leader in Indianapolis.
With Antoine Bethea going to hit free agency, the Colts suddenly have a need in the secondary. Especially, because we all know Landry can't do it all by himself. It might be a scary thought if he was the leader of our secondary..
He's decently young at 27 years old, and is definitely a pro-bowl type of player. I like this guy, and would be happy to sign him.
D'Qwell Jackson, Rob Chudzinski, and Trent Richardson might spark some reasons for Ward to come here as well..
Just my thought for the day. Let me know what you all think!
