I saw that the other day the Colts signed Kicker Carson Wiggs. I did a little research on him, and the Purdue product is pretty good. He can really kick it. What I'm saying is that maybe this wasn't just so the colts could have a kicker in OTA's and preseason. I mean, come on, he nailed a 67 yarder. And it had some extra distance on it, so it could've made it from 72 yards. Maybe, just maybe, they picked him up to use him as a camp body for now, but he'll be the starter in 2 years. After the great Adam Vinatieri retires, the Colts will be in need of a new kicker. I am aware that Pat McAfee can kick field goals as well, but not many teams have a specialist for punting, kick-offs, and field goals. McAfee would be an interesting experiment, and so would Wiggs. It would be pretty cool to see an undrafted kicker that hasn't started in the NFL to blossom into Indianapolis' replacement for one of the all time greats. Maybe I'm a little over my head, but hey, it doesn't hurt to wonder. Tell me what you think!
