I know this probably belongs in the Fanshot section, but I think it will get better exposure here, and it definitely should get exposure. I was pleasantly surprised by somethings and appalled by stats that this brought to light. All in all, I think it is an excellent yet simplified statistical breakdown of how the Colts line fared.
All I ask before you read this, is that you attempt to consider just the facts with an open mind. I understand that this is simplified, but preconceived notions on players' past results or future potential shouldn't completely overrule hard stats.
Considering the information, I am much more comfortable now with the line we have going into the season than I was before reading this. Although I did think that someone like Thorton had potential, I was actually surprised by the numbers he provided. In the end, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing another guard like Gabe Jackson brought in to sure up the line. Between him and Thorton, assuming Thorton continues to grow, there would be plenty of young talent throughout the next few years. This would also protect against the chances of a Thomas setback.
