The 2014 Colts Offense

An all-star studded cast featuring up and coming Quarterback Andrew Luck, All-World wide receiver Reggie Wayne and an running back named Trent Richardson... the Indianapolis Colts offense in 2014 should be improved over 2013. Injuries last year destroyed the team and quite honestly.. it looked ugly at times.. getting held to 8, 9,and 11 points to St. Louis, San Diego, and Arizona respectively. It's funny how we lose to the bottom two teams in the best division in football, but beat the best two isn't it? Blow out the 49ers in San Fran and win a thriller over Super Bowl champions Seattle in Indy. Maybe the Colts aren't well coached enough and don't prepare for the smaller games. It blows my mind that a team can beat the best 3 teams in football (Seattle, Denver, San Francisco) but get blown out by the youngest team in the NFL (St Louis). In fact, not including our absolutely awful division in which we went 6-0 in, we only went 5-5, and I repeat beat the 3 best teams in the NFL. Our team seems to stand up when the pressure is on, but fold when we play a sub-par team. I see the relation with the Indiana Pacers. (See: Game 7 with Atlanta Hawks) Can I hear an "Inconsistent" chant? Were they because of injuries? Probably. Did they have to do with youth? Probably. With 5 primetime games this season, you as a fan, should of course expect them all to be victories. (Luck is 4-1 in primetime not including playoffs.) Expect an offensive EXPLOSION week one in Denver when Andrew Luck and Co. roll into Manning's current stadium on a sunday night primetime game. (60s for both team? ;) Should we expect anything different week two when Philly's high-powered, no defense team comes into Lucas Oil? How about on week 6, when we get to see Clowney and JJ Watt together chasing Andrew? Wow. Andrew takes on Peyton's little bro? check. The CLASSIC Colts vs Pats. You already know. Week 11 Primetime @ Home for that one folks. Or how about week 13 when RG3-13 comes into Lucas Oil? Week 16 when Tony Romo's (should be Manziel's) Cowboys host us in Jerry World? All I'm saying is, this season will be great, with plenty of big stages for the Colts to stand up and shine. When the lights are on and all eyes are on the Colts, they seem to shine. Expect the offense to be explosive with this lineup

There will be plenty of weapons for Andrew Luck and Pep Hamilton to work with, even though our offensive line is... well...... you know. We all know he can scramble and extend plays, but will it be enough? Hopefully. Will the 2014 Colts be the 2013 Broncos? Probably not. Could they be? Maybe. Should we expect them to be? No. But with these weapons, in this system, in primetime, against the easiest schedule in the league, expect a #1 seed and a deep playoff run folks.
