I am sitting at a local eating establishment at Muncie, IN just thinking about the colts and looking at some products online. I notice that many of them are pink or have pink ribbons, including a pink football. Supposedly, this is for cancer awareness. I don’t get it.
My waitress, the same one as last time I wrote a blog for here, shows up and asks me for my order, and I ask what she thinks of these pink ribbons and pink things being added as football stuff for the colts.
She responds, "Colts Strong, now may I take your order?"
"I’ll have one of those BTM’s I had last time with lettuce on rye with a cherry coke, fries, and coleslaw," I respond.
"That’s not what BTM means….Oh, never mind, coming right up sir," She chirps back, "Build the Monster!!!"
I’m just looking at a fanpost about people not talking enough about football. Well, how about pink footballs or footballs with pink ribbons on them. I believe they look too girly to me. Well, perhaps females need to cheer on the colts too.
The colts as a team are starting to claim under Pep Hamilton that they are in it for the physical football and the scoring first game. Assuming the idea of the power running team was a lie last year spread by Pep to throw people off, what can we guess this might mean? What is the nature of colt’s football to come now that Pep says the new colt’s mantra is score first and hard physical football?
Well, if we assume this is a lie, we must assume the colts are working on a better defended score last mentality, and more plays on offense that deal with finesse. I for one would look forward to this, due to our current skillset of players and our need to win. It’s not the most fun football to watch, but it is perhaps our best chance of victory. So, I’m all for it, if this is the case. As always, this is just all conjecture, so you can take what I’m saying with a grain of salt.
While I’m on the topic of conjecture, last year I noticed Chuck Pagano would seem to show support for a player right before they pulled the rug out from under him. With the current statement from Pagano that he and the rest of the team has Mathis’s back, might there be some doubt in the organization as to whether Mathis is telling the truth? Are they preparing to throw their player under the bus, so to speak? I don’t know, but it gets you thinking doesn't it?
As always, Go Colts!!!!!
