Take note, those of you who are planning to head to Colts training camp tomorrow (Monday, July 28) - the team announced a change to the practice schedule. While originally scheduled to take place at the normal time, 1:50 p.m, the practice that is open to the public is now set to begin at 9 a.m. and run until 12 p.m. After the practice concludes, Coach Chuck Pagano will speak with the media. Colts city will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
It's unclear why the practice times changed, but it's perfectly understandable and reasonable for the Colts and Chuck Pagano to be able to have their practice whenever they wish. I recognize that this may inconvenience some fans who were planning on attending practice, however, and so I want to make sure that I put it out there. Again, practice will not be held in the afternoon on Monday but instead in the morning, beginning at 9 a.m.
All but two of the Colts training camp practices were originally scheduled to take place from 1:50 p.m. to 4:25 p.m., with the only exceptions being the night practice (which will be held this Thursday night from 6:20 p.m. to 8:55 p.m.) and the final day of camp, August 13, on which the Colts will practice from 10:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Of course, when the schedule was initially released there was a chance it would be modified, and the Colts have done just that by moving around the time of their practice on Monday.
It's not a huge thing, but it's worth noting for those of you planning on going to practice. The practice for Wednesday is due to take place at the normal time (1:50 p.m.) while the players have an off day Tuesday (which might very well be part of the reason for the change of practice times on Monday).
