In the 1st quarter of the Colts/Saints game a defensive lineman grabbed Luck and body slammed him for a roughing the qb call! Maybe I missed it but I did not see a single Colt's player getting in the guys face and letting him know that cheap shots on the "meal ticket" would not go unnoticed. I know you don't want to get an unsportsman penalty but I also know that when your qb gets roughed up the big uglies need to let it be known they are not going to just watch. A physical response in a preseason game might be worth a 15 yard penalty or offsetting the roughing call.
Should someone have stepped in and let the Saint's player know that he was being put on notice or am I just an old coot who still remembers the game the way it used to be played and has lost touch with this new league?
