Geathers: New-ish role or stay put?

Geathers is one of our very promising young players that we have talked about as having possible Sanders-like ability to be a bruiser. However, it has been discussed that putting Geathers into the role of Inside Linebacker might not be a bad idea because he has dropped into that in sub-packages before and has done a decent job against tight ends in coverage. Based off of this, and off of the fact that we have so many holes to fill on defense and not very much time to do it, would it be wise to move him into that role on a more permanent basis? We could get someone like Zach Brown, Gerald Hodges, or Kevin Minter to pair up with him in free agency. Then if we resign Butler and maybe another safety through free agency (not sure how likely that is), we could focus a lot more on edge rush, d-line, o-line, cb, and maybe even tight end in the draft. So, in essence, make a full time position switch for a promising young kid who is already on our roster, decide on TJ Green's status and what to do at safety, and then fix the defense through the draft. What do you think? Please leave feedback below.
