Longtime Colt Dwight Freeney signed a 2-year deal with the San Diego Chargers. Interestingly enough, the Chargers also run a 3-4 defense - the same defense that Freeney struggled with in Indianapolis last year.

Colts defensive coordinator Greg Manusky said today that NT Josh Chapman has been working with the first team defense during offseason OTAs. Chapman missed his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL he suffered at Alabama.
While the Colts didn't actually use their original 2nd or 5th round picks in this year's draft, they used them to obtain Vontae Davis and T.Y. Hilton in trades - and in doing so got much better value than they would have by drafting with those picks.
Illinois offensive guard Hugh Thornton is a good player. Don't focus on the players that the Colts didn't take, focus on the one that they did. And he's a pretty impressive guard with a pretty crazy story. He could help the Colts.
