One personal story about Huey. Remember asking him during the 2006 season why Dominic Rhodes was starting over Joseph Addai, who as a rookie seemed to be for much of the season a better back. Many others had the same question, and Huey said throughout the regular season the Colts needed both running backs to be effective, and that at some point – in the post-season, most likely – the two-headed, time-sharing system would reap benefits. In the playoffs that season, that's exactly what happened, with Rhodes running effectively first against Baltimore in the Divisional Playoff round and most memorably against the Chicago Bears in the Super Bowl victory. Not saying Huey won the Super Bowl for the Colts that season, but he always took pride in the doubly effective performance of Rhodes and Addai that post-season. Rightfully so.

Gene Huey offered a job with Peterson and the Vikings.

Gene didn't have to wait long for a new job offer. Leslie Frazier, former Colts coach, has offered Huey a job with the Vikings. Good for Gene. Huey is hesitant to take the job because he's not sure if he wants to uproot his family after being in Indiana for so long. Hopefully things work out for him. He's a good man.

"Decisions are made and I respect the decision Jim (Caldwell) made," Huey said.

Phil Richards' Wednesday article seems to suggest that the decision to let go of former RB coach Gene Huey was made by head coach Jim Caldwell.

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will never win the Super Bowl again, says one sportswriter.

According to this "journalist" (sarcasm implied),the two greatest quarterbacks of this generation, and possibly all-time, are washed up.

Dumb. I think they are looking for scapegoats.

Dumb. I think they are looking for scapegoats.

Phil Wilson, like me, thinks the decision to fire Gene Huey was a move to scapegoat him. If you are looking for accountability in the Polian-Caldwell regime folks, you ain't gonna find it.
