Sports Network | September 28, 2008
Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Matt Bryant, playing despite the unspeakable passing of his three-month-old son earlier in the week, nailed three field goals, including the go-ahead 24-yarder with less than three minutes left, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers upended the Green Bay Packers, 30-21, at Raymond James Stadium
Derrick Brooks, who was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, logged an interception and forced a fumble to highlight a terrific defensive effort for Tampa Bay (3-1), which also benefited from a defensive touchdown by Jermaine Phillips.
Earnest Graham rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, while Brian Griese struggled to complete half of his 30 attempts for 149 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions for the Bucs, who have won three straight since a season-opening loss to New Orleans.
Greg Jennings hauled in six balls for 109 yards with two touchdowns from Aaron Rodgers, who left in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury. Rodgers' injury was the least of his worries, as the first-year starter was picked off three times while hitting 14-of-27 passes for 165 yards for Green Bay (2-2), which has dropped two straight.
Ryan Grant was held to a measly 20 yards on the ground on 15 carries, as the Packers netted a total of 178 yards of offense against a tenacious Buccaneers attack.
