Sadly

I don't think Dungy and company will do anything to help the defense. There's not much they can do. Just go down fighting. If they are going to have the worst rush defense, then put in Keiaho and try to do something about it.

Special teams lost (except for Vinatieri for making his fieldgoal)

Running/Passing we were owned

Defense we were owned

It was a very complete loss, and I didn't have beer on hand to cry into...

Pathetic

Garrard didn't do a damn thing!

He threw for under 100 yards, because he didnt have to... they just ran the ball 85% of the time!

This loss sucked!

I've never seen a team 10-2 play with less excitement and energy.

Reggie Wayne seems to be the only person on the field showing some type of toughness.

It stinks to see such a poor exectuted game, by such a talented team. I'm sick to my stomach with this game!

The Colts only decided to control the game when the game was out of our control.

Why were we not making methodical drives like that at the beginning of the game? I just don't understand it...

But here is what I understand...

The Superbowl Champions have the No. 1 Running Back on their team right now!

And he is certainly not with the Colts!

Why?

The Colts lost, and people have been able to rush on them all season... but there is NO mention of injuries to the team.

The sad thing is...

Jacksonville's got 11 guys on IR, including three of our defensive icons (Darius, Peterson and Hayward) Injuries arn't the best excuse because EVERYONE get's injuries. I'd be examining the depth of your defensive roster and ask why the stock is so bare...

But what can I say, I'm probably biased..

I lost my bet...

After the first quarter I was betting Jacksonville would score 60 on the Colts.

Giordano gets a game ball. He did alright as 4th-string safety. I started calling them the Keystone Colts--http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bd/KeystoneKops.jpg--if anyone remembers the chase scenes in those old clips, that's what the absolutely disorganized Colt's defense looks like these days. It is the personell losses, even if it shouldn't be. Nobody has a damn clue about what they are supposed to be doing. That's why I bet 60 points on the Jags. It really looked possible until their backs just got worn out from beating on defenders for too long.

That Cardinals game was good though.

To be able to play that poorly this late in the season, I don't think they are going to make it this year. Miami shuts out the Pats so they obviously want to win games still. The Bengals are playing football again. The Colts might beat the Texans, I don't know.

At least the games will be fun to watch though.

I don't know if it will be fun to watch. I thought the game today would be close. That was the worst regular season game I have watched them play in quite some time and that is coming off a horrible loss to the Titans. There is no fight in this team. They had it during the first few weeks and then left it in Indianapolis. Seriously though, everything will be fine. That is, until next Sunday when we have to play the Bengals.

Dungy's Fault

I'm one of the biggest Dungy fans around, but the Colts current problems are primarily his fault.

His unwillingness to show any concern or address obvious problems provides a false sense of security that has left the entire team soft and merely expecting opponents to fold to the high and mighty Colts.

The Cover 2 doesn't work with sub-par LBs. Execution and attitude are missing, and that falls to the head coach.

And there are Girl Scouts tougher than the wimps playing (or rather, not playing) in the Colts secondary.

January will have a familiar feel if Dungy can't find a way to inspire a lost team.

Its nice to hear some one else express their views the way I have. Only a few of us share our candid thoughts. Something definately needs to be done. The defense is SOFT. The problem is that it is beyond fixing. It is too late in the season. We can only hope that they miraculously pull it together.

Issues

Well, the problems as I see them are...

1. Injuries:

The Colts have lost both of their DT's as well as 2 safeties, the backup safety and their nickel corner. They also lost their backup DT. These injuries are substantial and I don't see the defense recovering until we get these players back.

2. Lose of Thornton

I was always a huge David Thornton fan and I was sad to see him go. He got a huge deal with Tennessee that the Colts rightly did not match. However, his replacement Gilbert Gardner is terrible and I have seen him blow containment time and time again. Also, Gary Brackett has not played well at all this year!

Saints

are a good story. The fullback is having a monster game as is Reggie. It helps that Sean Payton is familiar with Tony Romo and he has exposed his weaknesses. Keep Romo in the pocket and his big plays will be limited.

Any one remember the last time the Saints were in the playoffs?

Can you believe it?

The Saints are up by 18 points in the 3rd quarter and they go for an onside kick. They got it too. I wish Dungy would do that some time. He experimented with it in the pre-season and it worked. Then when the regular season came, he backed down from being aggresive.

OH GOD THIS GAME HELPS

First offsides and the ref looks confused and can TELL the ball is 3 inches short, then the Cowboys go offsides to give the yards back, then an interception...

This is INSANE!
