Free agent tally

In light of Edge bolting for the desert and today's announcement that OLB David Thornton is headed for the Tennessee Thumbtacks, here's a tally of Colts 2006 free agents and where they stand:

Reggie Wayne, WR: Re-signed with Colts for 6 years at $40 million.

Edgerrin James, RB: Signed with Arizona Cardinals for 4 years at $30 million ($20 million in the first 2 years).

Gary Brackett, MLB: Re-signed with Colts, 4 years at $6.2 million with a $3.5 million signing bonus.

Cato June, OLB: Tendered offer to stay with the Colts, 1 year deal at $1.55 million.

David Thornton, OLB: Signed with Tennessee Titans for 5 years at about $4.5 million annually. The deal includes an $8 million bonus.

Raheem Brock, DE/DT: Re-signed with Colts, 5 years and $24 million.

Robert Mathis, DE: Tendered offer to stay with the Colts, 1 year at $2.069 million.

Aaron Moorehead, WR: Tendered offer to stay with the Colts, 1 year at $712,000.

Ben Utecht, TE: Re-signed with Colts, 1 year at $310,000.

Makota Frietas, OT: Tendered offer to stay with the Colts, 1 year at $712,000.

Gerome Sapp, FS, ST: Tendered offer to stay with the Colts, 1 year at $712,000.

Ryan Lija, OG: Tendered offer to stay with the Colts, 1 year at $385,000.

Colts free agents still in limbo:

Mike Vanderjagt, Idiot Kicker: He's a goner.

Joseph Jefferson, SS: He never stays healthy. Played one game last year. Gone as well.

Keith O'Neill, OLB, ST: Will probably get offered something. Really good on ST.

Rocky Calmus, OLB: If his leg is healed, he will get re-signed and replace Thornton.

Rob Morris, MLB, ST: Proved he can be a difference maker on ST. Will get re-signed.

Troy Walters, WR, PR: He's always done a decent job fielding punts and filling in at WR from the slot, but Indy might look to upgrade.

Jose Cortez, K: With Vandy gone, we might actually get a kicker that can both hit makable FGs and kickoff. Therefore, no need for Cortez.

Kurt Vollers, OT: Maybe practice squad.
