Simeon Rice a colt?

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/11/12/colts-claim-simeon-rice-off-waivers/

according to a colts forum (and this site) john Clayton and Adam Shefter have reported that Simeon Rice was claimed off waivers from the Broncos. Now im a little happy that we "apparently" got him but that raises a question: Whats the status with Freeney? Either this means Freeney is going to be out for quite some time or we just need to get some depth due to all the injuries. Hopefully Freeney is ok and its just the second scenario I pointed out.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

ESPN
ESPN just reported it.

They said Freeney has a "foot sprain"
How did we get a free roster spot for Rice?

Hmmmm
Well, I'm not sure how to feel about this. On the upside, it's a good thing that we were able to find a reasonable replacement for Freeney that will give him time to rest up and heal properly. On the downside, we don't have Freeney anymore.

Anyone think he'll do better in Indianapolis than Denver?

Yeah...
I think he'll do fine.  Freeney gets hauled off in a cart, you need another pass rusher for a few weeks. The way Freeney runs, he's going to be out a while before that foot can take it.

Well...
There will be lots of runs towards his side.
