You too can kick BigBlueShoe in the nuts!
There have been numerous times I was so right about something it wasn't even funny. And then, there's the stuff I was wrong about; dead wrong; so wrong it should get me deported. Some of these wrongs are pleasant, as I was pessimistic about something and it turned out being a good thing. Other times, I was just stupidly wrong. Here, I fess up to them:
- Remember when I laughed at the idea of Ben Roethlisberger running a Colts-style offense? I try not to remember, because Ben is having a career year working in that offense under Bruce Arians, and the Pittsburgh offense has never looked better. 23 TDs, 8 INT, 107.3 QB rating. Yep, I was pretty damn wrong about that.
- I once said Marvin Lewis was a top tier coach. Yeah, I was pretty wrong about that too. His team is 4-7, and they are all but out of the playoffs... again. He's lost control of his team, and Chad Johnson is still acting like an idiot. Marvin deserves a pink slip.
- I claimed the Ravens would win the AFC North. Laugh. I deserve it.
- Tim and Matt can now point their fingers at me and yuck it up: I said David Carr was a good player who got a bad rap. If you've watched any Carolina Panthers games this year, you know I'm pretty much an idiot when it comes to assessing David Carr's play. The guy lost his job to a 44-year-old. So very, very sad.
- Back in August, I said the weakest position on the Colts was defensive tackle. Happily, I was wrong. Ed Johnson, Keyunta Dawson, Raheem Brock, and Quinn PitCOCK have formed the best tackle rotation this team has ever seen. The Colts are currently ranked #2 overall in total defense. Insanity, I know. I also claimed the deepest position was WR. I'm on a roll, aren't I?

I can't list them all BBS
Before the season started I proclaimed Romo would shatter all the Cowboys passing records this year and I was laughed at, but I guess I'll get the last laugh like I usually do.

Well, let's be clear
Wade Phillips is still a bum. Let's see the Cowboys win a few playoff games before we start forgetting all the clubs Phillips DESTROYED as Head Coach. Also, the Cowboys play in the JV league of the NFL: The NFC.

Oh you definitely bashed Garrett
Phillips has already proved he's a very good coach in the league and he'll prove it again in the playoffs. The NFC is much better than you give them credit for. You take NE out of the picture and the best NFC teams are most definitely as good as the best AFC teams. I quarantee the SB will be highly contested this season because the NFC won't have a scrub at QB.
I got news for you, Romo is better than good, he's really good.

I'm sure you said something...
But then again, you were absolutely and 100% correct about Byron Leftwich, so it might just be a push.

hehe
I gotta say though, for all your brazen talk -most of which is light-hearted and discussion worthy - the notion of cutting Roethlisberger has to be considered your most ludicrus statement ever ;)
Funny idea for a post. Good work.

It's funny
I've always liked Roethlisberger, but doing something that stupid was unforgivable.
