More perspective

More perspective on how deep the Colts' roster is and how well they have played:

In fact, this Sunday only 5 of the original 11 projected preseason starters will play for the Colts on defense. Hayden, Jackson, Sanders, Keiaho, and Brackett will line up with the likes of Giordano, Thomas, and Johnson. That means the Colts have lost (at least temporarily):

Freeney, Mathis, McFarland, Brock, Bethea and Morris. Sanders, Keiaho, and Hagler have also missed games. When you add Harrison and Diem to that list, you begin to realize how remarkable this season has been for the Colts. Oh yeah, Clark, Addai, Ugoh and Gonzalez have all missed games as well.

Yesterday, on the crap fest that is ESPN's Football Today podcast, the yahoos from Scouts Inc were discussing their QB rankings. Keith Kidd, who is an ex Patriots employee was discussing with Jeremy (I helped with the worst draft record in history in Cleveland) Green why they wanted to make love to Tom Brady. Jeremy Green made the comment that with all the injuries, you could see how normal Peyton Manning has become. I laughed out loud. Manning played exactly one bad quarter this year. He, like his team, is having an amazing season.

11-2 record is average
Wow, so an 11-2 record for a quarterback who has as many key offensive players hurt as the Colts is average.  How many 11-2 records has Tom Brady had in his career?  That comment is so funny that you have to wonder what Jeremy Green is smoking before telecasts.  I bet if the Colts do beat the Patriots, they will use the weather as an excuse for NE because it slowed down their passing game.

for about two weeks before the 2nd Jags game
he was all over Jacksonville, ranked them higher, talked about how great they were, said they were the team to challenge the Pats (his ESPN mandated Pats reference) and picked them to win.
How did that one turn out?

yes, I listen to his podcast
just because it lets me get NFL news while playing Madden (it's awesome). Just as a comparison, I will listen to Bill Simmons' podcast long before his (18 to 88's 18 plays is the undisputed champ of my podcast subscription list)

hahaha
what a moron. I love those who think Manning is ordinary without marvin yet can't see it was one bad half (really, 1 qtr and change) in that chargers game where he clearly didn't care and then bam, he started to realize it wasn't lost and came back. The rest of the game should show the skills of peyton and how good he is because how many other qbs would have been able to mount that comeback especially with a 2nd string offense?

Oh well...if these idiots think peyts' season is avg then all the power to them being morons. I find it amusing that the season he is having is avg yet EVERY PREVIOUS YEAR brady had that got jizzed on (for various reasons) was inferior to manning's 07. The double standard amuses me.

Here's hoping stays on fire and gets to 35 TDs for the season and gets the rating up past 100. What an avg year...especially with marvin out for most of it and other guys and the drops and all the rookie or 2nd year players.

like I indicated earlier
I think that anyone who says Manning is havimng an average year is complimenting him because that means they holding him to a higher standard the all other QBs.

A lot of people expect Manning to throw for 40TDs and 4500 yds every year so when he doesn't, for whatever reason, its looked upon as average or ordinary.

By holding him to a higher standard, those so called morons are simply saying how great he is.
