Week Fifteen: Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders- Open Thread

Indianapolis Colts (11-2) at Oakland Raiders (4-9)
AT
Week Fourteen: Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders

Location: McAfee (Oakland) Coliseum

Kick-off time: 4:15 pm ET

Broadcast: CBS

Key injuries: Marvin, Diem, Antoine, and Mathis are out. Sorry the open thread was late getting up. Thx to jdb for the temporary open thread. I've spent the morning trying to figure out why the damn site is all screwed up. I think it's one of the rss feeds on the left. Annoying.

Anyway, Jacksonville beat Pittsburgh, which means that a potential Colts win locks up the AFC South and the #2 seed. But Oakland shouldn't have any plans to simply roll over. For a Raiders fan's take on the game, check out the always enjoyable saint over at Silver and Black Pride.

Here's to a good, clean game with (please!) no injuries. Go Colts!

Special Teams
Rushing takes one to the house in the first quarter. Raiders look surprisingly good against the run. Armomoshadu catches one, for the second time all year. Clark drops his second pass. Manning has his quick snap and catches 12 men on the field. Lane Kiffin looks like he's 12. Utect looks good.

I think that about covers it.

Ryan and Belichick
Ryan and Belichick share a cardboard box in Topeka in the offseason. It's very cozy.

by jdb on Dec 16, 2007 4:38 PM EST up reply actions

haha.
must be a BIG cardboard box.

Manning TD
Manning RUSHES for a TD. Kiffin challenges. Might get it, might not. If he doesn't, the Colts are about 2 inches and Goal. I vote QB Sneak.

Fantasy
I have Wayne, Peyton, and Clark on my fantasy team.  I really need a good week from these guys (secondary to them winning the ballgame, which is the most important thing, right?). The guy I'm playing has Adam.  Please, no more field goals, guys, and Dallas, please start catching the ball, K?

Driving me nuts
3 times inside the 5, only 6 points. Ugh. We should be blowing this team out. Addai needs to stop "stutter steeping" inside the 1. PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN AND GET IN THE ENDZONE!

At least the Raider Offense is nothing to worry about.

by burc on Dec 16, 2007 6:01 PM EST up reply actions

by driving 99yards they aren't "nothing" to worry about.

Raider defense
They're very good against the pass, but the Colts really need to pound the run down their throat.

1,000
Joseph Addai goes over 1,000 for the season. Joins Faulk and Edge was only two Colts to get 1,000 yards first two seasons.

Joseph also just got the first down.

Hey
colts fans....I am a Raiders fan from Silver and Black Pride. Just want to say congradulations are in order and that ill be rooting for the colts in the playoffs like i have been since 2002(the last time the Raiders went to the playoffs). Just wanted your take on the game...how do YOU think the Raiders played today?
RAiders are on the way up.

by DarksideJU08 on Dec 16, 2007 7:08 PM EST reply actions

Good game
The Raiders played great game behind their solid running game and a good defense.  Certainly surprised me.

by burc on Dec 16, 2007 7:14 PM EST up reply actions

i'll take it
but we better get healthy on the dline. that redefined ugly.

by jdb on Dec 16, 2007 7:13 PM EST reply actions

I just hope
that the Colts go and knock the Snow Job Fricken Patriots out of the Playoffs!
