Gonzo is an uber nerd
Michael David Smith could learn a lot from David J. Warner. Both work for AOL. Both cover the NFL. Only Warner seems to watch the games, and write as if he knows something about football.
I found this little nugget from a few days ago:
* He spends most of his day off studying film and reading books.
* He wants to go to law school when he's done with football.
* He's a budding politics wonk who's thinking about becoming a judge.
* His current reading selection is a book about hydrogen cars and the oil industry.
From this brief interview, I can only gather one thing -- Anthony Gonzalez is a huge nerd.
This makes him a perfect fit for the Indianapolis Colts. Peyton Manning's targets have to be smart guys to fit into that offense.

hmmm...
I wonder if he understands the nfl schedule which apparently is something you don't since you are amazed the Colts will play the Pats again. Maybe you need to work on your football knowledge a bit before trashing others. :)

read for yourself
After a media firestorm was created with his comments about Tony Romo's girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, being a distraction, Terrell Owens said he was joking and that he's sorry.
Owens, speaking before the Mavericks-Suns game at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday night, said he apologized to Romo for all the confusion and added that he wants to speak to Simpson as well.
"I tried to get [Romo] to call her so I can explain to her that she doesn't really know me and that I can be funny," Owens said. "And that everything I say, the media will take it and run with it. It's not a big deal. I will try to rectify the situation between her and I."

maybe...
By the way....figured that I would toss out a big fat "I told you so". A couple weeks ago when discussing the Colts potential playoff matchups, you stated matter-of-factly, that the Steelers would be the #3 seed and would play the Colts. When I pointed out that they weren't even a lock to when their division, you said there is "no way" that they would lose to the Jaguars, so that wouldn't happen. While they still could be the #3 seed if the Chargers don't win out, they did lose to the Jags, and now are merely tied for the lead in their division.
So with that being said...I told you so.

thats not true
I said there's no way they would not win their division and be the #3 seed and I still feel that way. I think SD will lose another game placing them at #4.

wow....
Here's a refresher:
http://www.stampedeblue.com/story/2007/12/2/181441/302
You said and I quote:
"Pittsburgh will lose to the Pats but they'll have no problem beating Jags, Rams and Ravens."
AND
"Steelers only lose to crap teams on the road"
AND
"they're clearly the 3rd best team in the AFC despite losing to some bad teams."
Nice try denying.....but that's the great thing about blogs....you can look up people's comments.

well, I definitely didn't recall saying that
If they had him, I still would think they would get the #3 seed and play the Colts in the divisional playoffs, but now, with Parker also being out, that changes things.
Colts fans should appreciate how injuries can affect a team.

Rob
I also don't know what you mean re: the NFL schedule. If you're referring to my comment in this thread, (which was really a knee jerk reaction to seeing New England AGAIN on the schedule in the regular season) let me know.
Cheers.
