Week Sixteen: Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts- Open Thread

Houston Texans (7-7) at Indianapolis Colts (12-2)
AT
Week Sixteen:  Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

Location: RCA Dome  Indianapolis, IN

Kick-off time: 1:00 pm ET

Broadcast: CBS

Key injuries: Brock, Diem, Bethea, Harrison, and Mathis are out. We'll probably see the starters for the first half, maybe. Since Houston has been eliminated from the post season and Indy is already locked into the second seed, this game is for pride. The Texans have never won a game in the RCA Dome, and I would prefer it if that trend continued.

As always, Tim and the boys do a great job yacking about the Texans over at Battle Red Blog and Da Good, Da Bad, and DeMeco. Master R Wayne and I are sitting in Section 121, Row 33, Seat 107. If any Stampede Bluers show up, stop by and say hi.

Here's to a good, clean game with (please God) no injuries. I want to keep these AFC South teams in their place. So, even though the game means "nothing," I don't want the Texans to start thinking they can win ANYTHING in the Dome. Go Colts!

Dude, this site is saving me!
I'm sure I've just opened up my PC to all kinds of malicious activity, but it ALMOST seems worth it...
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

Addai is running strong...
but just went down. It just looked like he got the wind knocked out of him.

I wish he didn't do that
He goes down a lot, but lucky hasn't actually been hurt badly yet.

I think they should...
Addai out for the rest of the game just to be safe (this has nothing to do with Addai being on the team I'm currently facing in the stampede blue fantasy league playoffs)

Still a good call making the challenge
Sometimes Dungy worries me, being over conservative with the challenges. That was so close you had to do it. The TE got it palmed while he was rolling. If someone had a better replay correct me though I'm watching on a pretty low quality broadcast.

Who was that that made a nice catch
and didn't fumble? Was it Ben Utecht? I think it was. I thought he sucked and fumbled every time he touched the ball nd wasn't a good TE.

ok the game is about taken care of
now it's about time to rest Addai and Sanders, Gonzalez can stay out there though. (Again, this has nothing to do with Addai and Sanders being on the team I'm currently facing and me starting Gonzo in the stampede blue fantasy league playoffs)

Well this is getting out of hand :)
That went from worrying a bit at the beginning to grinding the Texans' hopes into paste awfully quickly :)

Kickoff coverage still sucks big time though. Please. Polian, Dungy... fire Russ Purnell in the offseason.  I'm begging you.

Oh, and second week in a row that channel 8's or CBS in general's HD feed sucks for a time during the game. This time for a bit in the 2nd it was like watching stopmotion or claymation.

Marlin is manhandling one of the best-
recievers in football, Andre Johnson. One catch for 18 yrds.

OLine
the Oline looks SO MUCH BETTER this week. And Dallas is having a hell of a game. As is Kenton. Overall great game to this point.

Except special teams, naturally.

addai
did I just hear addai with shoulder and back injuries. Oy. Here's hoping they aren't bad and that we can keep him out next week to be ready for the playoffs.

Bullitt!
awesome pick by Melvin Bullitt. he really leaped up there to catch up. I tell ya the 2nd and 3rd string defenders out there are really stepping up and looking great. Given, it's against Houston, but still.

Another Anchorman Game
And the Colts post up another Anchorman Game.

Again, for those of you that don't know what an Anchorman Game is, here's the official definition.

Anchorman Game (n) - Any competitive sporting event where, following the game, someone could remark "Wow, that got out of hand quickly."
Example:
Fan #1: "Did you see that Colts-Texans game?"
Fan #2: "Yeah. That got out of hand quickly."
Fan #1: "No kidding. I think Bob Sanders killed a guy."
Fan #2: "Yeah, he should probably lay low for a while."

"Hey, if you want me to come here, I want to come here. But if you don't, I'm going to beat your butt for 15 years playing in the AFC." -Peyton Manning-
