Pacman suspended for 2007 season, Chris Henry suspended 8 games

The image above articulates perfectly just what the NFL did to Adam "Pacman" Jones and Chris Henry today. As part of Commissioner Roger Goodell's new conduct policy, Jones was suspended for the year for his numerous off-the-field incidents. He is suspended WITHOUT PAY; same with Henry.

It's likely the Players Union will fight this, but I have a feeling most fans agree with it. You can read Jimmy's assessment here and Kirkendall's assessment here.

Pacman Jones and Chris Henry are being made examples for the righteous wrath of the fans and the league. These problems were around long before Pacman became part of this league, but he will be made to suffer for all of the sins of the past. Is he a piece of garbage? Sure. Did they know that hiring him, paying him, and letting him play out the season before suspending him? Yes.

He's paying for the sins of the Michael Irvin's and the Tank Johnson's, and all the pent up rage against the countless spoiled athletes everywhere. Just because he is wrong doesn't make this right.
