Peter King picks the Colts for XLII

Finally getting over his homerism for the Pats, Peter King from SI.com has finally picked us against NO for Super Bowl XLII. Not sure whether this is really a blessing or a curse (I'm thinking the latter). But it is nice to finally see the organization get the kind of recongition that it deserves. We've been a favorite pick of the media in years past, but never with Peter King. Ah well, his picks last year sucked, but perhaps this year we can prove Peter right.

King's prediction in 2006
will come to fruition this season.

Not likely ...
The Cowboys aren't even tops of the NFC, let alone the NFL.

That's right...
your team sure showed their dominance of the NFC in the Playoffs, last year.

Romo doesn't bobble that snap...
we probably play and beat you guys in the SB.

That's laughable ...
The class of the NFC last year was clearly the Bears and the Saints. You wouldn't have beaten either of those teams.

And face it, the 'Boys got lucky in the regular season against the Colts - 9 times out of 10, we win that game in a blowout.

no, thats laughable
I could say the same thing about you winning the SB, you were lucky, 9 out of 10 times the Pats beat you in the AFC championsip game.

The Bears are the team that got lucky not having to face us.

You're delusional ...
There's simply no other way to put it. You can't see the forest for the trees.

Actually, you couldn't ...
Since we've wiped the floor with the Pats for the last two seasons.

There's a reason they got desperate and went for Randy Moss.

You have got to be kidding me
What part of the 42-17 ass-thrashing the Saints handed the Cowboys IN DALLAS don't you recall? 600 yards of total offense ring any bells? That was a mere month before the 'Boys couldn't make it through Seattle.

Come on dude, if you want to be taken seriously, at least add some depth to your arguments.

I don't know how to take this...
Man, expectations are so high for my Saints this year. I'd love it if we could make it to the Super Bowl, of course, but if Peyton Manning got anywhere near our defense (which as it stands is a bit better than last year, but that's not saying much), we'd be hosed. So now that Peyton's got his ring, I have to stop cheering for the Colts, seeing as I'm not really interested in meeting you guys anytime soon. heh.
