Speculative Look: Colts

RiverCityRage has an entry up over at BCC giving his take on the AFC South. In a sense, it's just like our AFC South Roundtable. He's covering our beloved Colts in his most recent entry. Per usual, BCC does a great job with this write-up, and with his Titans write-up. Oh, and if you want updates on the AFC South Roundtable, here they are:

  • Matt at BRB covers the Jaguars.
  • BigBlueShoe (me!) covers the Texans here and here.
  • RiverCityRage covers the Colts and the Titans.

A decent write-up
By Big Cat Country, but what's the basis for the Colts automatically losing twice to the Jags? Sure, the second game didn't go well last year, but I'm pretty sure our record against them the past few seasons would indicate we're not likely to lose twice. Just a thought.

Come on...
Can't I get away with being a little bit of a Jags fan here.  I mean, that second game was pretty damn impressive.

In all seriousness, I'd be pretty confident of a split series, probably each winning at home.  However, I can't write such a flattering piece about the Colts AND be expected to concede anything in regards to my team.

Colts-Jags
I think a sweep either way is possible, but I would definitely have my money on a split.

I think putting two losses to the Jags in the best case record is where the problem is. I also think they can beat the Patriots and Chargers but I don't honestly expect them to go 16-0 they'll probably lose one of those two one to Jags and maybe lose one or two more games that they should win.

I can respect
being confident in and believing in your team. Lord knows I am with everyone penciling us in for losses against the Pats and Chargers already.

What ... ?
You expect losses against both of those ... ? No way, we win at least one, if not both.
