Gerard Warren traded to Raiders
The Broncos thought so much of Gerard Warren that they traded him to a division rival. Wow. Leave it to the Raiders (no offense saint) to trade for a guy that was going to get cut anyway. Obviously, this means the Colts won't be getting Gerard Warren. What it does mean is Warren Sapp's days in Oakland are over. So, it is still possible that the Colts will get a Warren, just not the one we thought.

Well...
I can't for the life of me piece this one together. If they do in fact plan on ditching Sapp, why replace him with somebody who's contract is just as big, and isn't nearly as good. Ok, he's younger and bigger, but what has he ever proven? No, Sapp isn't the All-Pro guy he once was, but he is still productive and was the unquestioned leader of that defense. This just proves once again that Oakland is the case study of how not to run an NFL franchise.
If Sapp gets released and will sign a reasonable contract, it's a no brainer. But, there's no way I would trade for him and take on his current contact at that age.
Totally agree ...
