Leftwitch out of Jacksonville

Just announced on NFL Network... Byron  Leftwich is out of Jacksonville.

OUT... that means David Garrard is the starter!

WOW!!!  Can you believe it???  What are they doing down there?  Why now?  Where does he end up?

WOW.

injury prone
given that leftwich is so injury prone... maybe they just don't want to have to bring gerrard in later anyways... leftwich has missed about as many as he has played... and after the rumours last year I was more surprised they didn't try to trade him in the offseason. Now they won't get anything for him unless someone like Atlanta is desperate enough.

Chalk up another one for Indy
Honestly, I don't get what the Jags are trying to do. You don't dump your QB less than two weeks before the season starts. Not only that, but you don't pass on a QB in TWO loaded drafts if your guy isn't getting it done. Personally, I'd be more afraid of Vince Young in Jacksonville than I am of him in Tennessee, which is to say not at all.

On the upside, those Jax games are going to be great for Kelvin and Marlin and the rest of the secondary, because they're going to pick off Garrard like every other play. That is, assuming of course, that the Jags don't move to San Antonio first.
