it's probably a lot easier to run a two-minute drill and win three super bowls when you've accumulated information on the other team's signals. now, if manning had the "can't win the big one" monkey on his back forever, will tom brady have the "can't win the big one without an array of surveillance technology deciphering the defenses for him" ape on his back?

i'm being an ass, but really one has to wonder how far back all of this goes and how much of their success against defenses can be attributed to these practices. i'm sure tommassee will blame this all on a vast polian-inspired conspiracy. go look at patspulpit and their initial reactions: it is way beyond the realm of possibility for these people to conceive that the pats are anything but god's gift to sports.

i'll just echo l.t. again on the patriot's raison d'etre: "if you aren't cheatin', you ain't tryin'." YAHTZEE!

you can tell l.t. just loved the news about this. i mean, that guy probably hates the patriots more than any colts fan. he just smiles...

the "everybody does it defense" is fine and dandy, but it doesn't answer the question as to who much this kind of cheating propelled the pats to their heights.
