Classy guy that Phillip Rivers

I'm keeping it "in the family" here: Eli Manning is far and away a better QB than Phillip Rivers. I don't need to compare stats, wins and loses, or interview coaches to see who is the favorite. All I need to look at is this video to know that Phillip Rivers is NOT someone I'd want on my team:

Seriously, when have you ever seen a QB do something like that? I'm sure there are QBs in this league who don't like Peyton or Tom Brady, but could you imagine if Peyton or Brady actually started taunting the opposing team's QB? For entertainment purposes, it would be hilarious! From a practical standpoint, and from the standpoint that, as the QB, you represent your team (and thus acting like a jerk-off makes your team and city look like jerk-offs) it's pretty damn stupid to taunt the opposing team's QB. I don't care what Jay Cutler may or may not have said earlier (he likely didn't say or do anything, but I'll humor Rivers here). Act like a man, shrug it off, and go play well. You're a professional athlete. You are paid to play well and represent your team and city. Leave the taunting to drunken fans who pay $200-plus to see the games.

San Diego
though a beautiful city has some pretty crappy fans as well. As a HUGE DBacks fan I can vouch that SD Padres fans are little whiny ass babies. I'll assume those fans are also Chargers fans.

Music to my ears
I genuinely love you guys, especially King Richard. Come out of the shadows, your excellency, and grace us with some of your gibberish subject lines. Oh by the way, I am not a chargers fan. It is only coincidence that I came forward today to assert my affinity for this site. Had I done so 2 weeks ago, I suppose I would have been labeled a titans fan.

Label...
I am going to aptly label you "shithead"

That way you can continue to assert your affinity for this site regardless of the opponents for the next Colts game.

PS. I realize I am lowering myself to shithead's levels here, but for his comeback comment I am sure he will bring a shovel.

wasn't labeling
just stating an independent thought process. Don't care who you're a fan of you have your right to express your feelings. Even if they aren't particularly welcome.

Sounds like Chargers fans are a tad bit nervous.

No surprise
Fans of every team still left in the playoffs should be a tad bit nervous when they look at this Colts team. And they can call you or any of us any name their 3rd-grade minds can come up with; we'll sit back and enjoy watching the Colts dismantle the rest of the league!

If I recall correctly
didn't Brady do the exact same thing to Anthony Smith of the Steelers after he guaranteed a victory over the Pats the week before they played?

It was in the end zone after the first Pats TD and Moss actually beat Smith on the score. Brady went over to him and started to taunt him, just like Rivers did to Cutler.

by Terry @ Stampede Blue on Jan 9, 2008 2:26 PM EST reply actions

Brady...
Yes, Brady got in his (Smith's) face some, after that TD pass that Moss beat him on but, the facts are that Smith, in addition to shooting his mouth off all week long, got in Brady's face as Brady was doing his on-field, pre-game stretching. Uncool.

Phillip Rivers is pretty much a dick, I would never characterize Tom Brady as same.

Well
Taunting Cutler is easy. I wanna see if he can do something like that to Bob Sanders.

Well...
God has miracles, Tony Soprano has bullets, and Bob destroys anything that moves, What does Tony romo bring to the table???  For his sake, he should at least bring 2, because he can't score a TD w/out him.

I'll take extra pleasure watchin' Cutler kick Rivers right in his bitch-nutz for the rest of their respective careers...

Please, please, please, kick their ass this weekend!
