Colts cut McFarland and Morris

The Colts announced that they have cut McFatland and Morris.  Both failed their physicals.  In other words, they could save salary cap room by releasing them.  It will be interesting to see how they are replaced.  I liked Rob Morris because he was such a team guy and understood how special it was to play in the NFL and for the Colts.  I hope they can come to a more salary cap arrangement with Morris if he can still play.

With Mcfarland gone
I say we keep our orginal second round pick and take trevor laws then trade some later round picks to get back up in the second round and get chris johnson.

So long
Booger and Morris out. In this case, you can't really say "Oh no, what are we going to do now?!?". The Colts found a great rotation of DTs last season. Brock, Johnson, Dawson, and Pitcock are going to do just fine. Booger was just a lot of wasted cap space. As for linebackers, the emergence of Keiaho, Brackett, and Hagler, along with Boiman and Sessions as backups, made Morris expendable.

In the meantime, that frees up some cap space. The Colts could probably put together a nice set of lower picks for a second second round pick. Given the apparent depth in this draft, it 's not out of the realm of possibility to pick up two pretty talented guys. After all, Bob Sanders was a 2nd round guy.

yeah
Still sucks to see them go.  Sucks to see anyone go who played a big part in the Super Bowl run.  Except a few people who I won't name.

If they can't pass the physical they got to go
Happened to Stokley last year. You never like to see it happen but you can't have cap space being taken up by guys whose bodies won't let them play.

is the reality for an older player
eventually the body gives out, and if you have been smart you made and SAVED enough money that you can walk away..  Hope these guys both go on to do well for themselves as they both certainly were important pieces in the superbowl run

Cuts
Booger really isn't much of a loss, as he wasn't that great when he was healthy.  Morris was the resident vet on the D, and that hurts, but from a talent standpoint, he won't be too hard to replace.

Crap
Now we've released Thorpe too. We're officially Boogerless and Crapless. How can we expect to win?
