Preseason Announced

We open Lucas Oil against the Bills.

Aug. 3: against the Redskins (Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio)
Aug. 7-11: at the Detroit Lions
Aug. 14-18: at the Atlanta Falcons
Aug. 24: hosting the Buffalo Bills
Aug. 28 or 29: hosting the Cincinnati Bengals

We play the Lions and Bengals twice this year now-once in preseason and once in the regular season.  The Hall of Fame game will be pretty cool to watch as well.  The Bills game will be on the NFL Network.

Here's what I do like:  two games on national TV.  I do appreciate that the Colts are a massive TV draw and I'm happy the league recognizes that value.

That's outweighed by what I don't like.  I hope all the starters--I mean that literally--are held out of either the Detroit or Atlanta games.  Four games are too many anyway, and having to play a fifth is merely risking injury.  The Colts are a veteran team despite being one of the youngest teams in the league, so there's no strong need to integrate a lot of new faces.  You know the starters will need to play in the Buffalo game and a little against the Bengals, so I hope Coach Dungy will sit them in the second or third game.

On the other hand, my head might explode if I have to watch Sorgi hand off to K2 for a whole game, alternated with overthrowing receivers on simple out patterns.

Aside fromt this pissing and moaning, I am anxiously awaiting August 3.

The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in the stars, but in ourselves.

Preseason
Is the scariest time of the year.  I always watch the games and when the pocket starts to collapse on Peyton I almost crap myself

Almost
If you'd invest in some Depends, you could just let it come and worry about it at half time. At least that's what I've been told...

Hahaha
Whenever Addai gets hit hard I always yell, "Get up, get up, get up!"  WHen the pocket collapse I yell for Peyton to fall throw it immediately.

Harrison and Sanders better not play this preseason or else I'll just pass out when Marvin catches the ball, expecting an injury.

I'll bet that
Harrison won't be doing much, but we'll see. Sanders is a hard guy to figure. I always want to see him hit hard, but I always cringe when he does, fearing a devastating injury to our team. Let's hope he saves the punishment for when the games count.
