Proehl signing, and Clark's injury

With all the Colts news circling the blogosphere, I haven't had time to write my game recap.

Colts signed veteran WR Ricky Proehl yesterday, a move that had many folks speculating Brandon Stokley was done. The move really was made because the Colts aren't all that jazzed about WR Aaron Morehead. The Colts have not used their 3 WR sets since Stokley went down in Week 2. Dungy says he expects Stokley back at practice this week, and he might play this Sunday at Tennessee.

Signing Proehl might have another purpose. There's speculation from multiple sources that TE Dallas Clark's injury, which he sustained against the Eagles, is an MCL tear which would end his season. Clark's x-ray was negative, but a MRI was conducted yesterday. The results were not made public. If Clark is done, that is indeed a big blow to this team. Clark is having a dominant year at the TE position both catching and blocking. He is on his way to career highs in TDs and receptions. He's doing this on a team that rotates 3 tight ends, and features Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Hopefully, his season is not over.

As always, MadTownColtsFan is all over the Clark injury.
