Edge's replacement

Who's it gonna be? There are a number of theories out there. Some involve the Colts signing a veteran like Minnesota's Bennett. Others suggest a RB in the draft. What do you think?

I'm of the opinion that Bill Polian will draft a running back, but per usual it will not be a player people expect him to draft. People expected Polian to take Ricky Williams, Ryan Leaf, Fred Smoot, Will Allen, and Wendell Bryant when they were drafted. He instead took Edgerrin James, Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, and Dwight Freeney. 'Nuff said on that.

So, understanding this about Polian, I can assure you he will not draft Laurence Maroney, RB from Minnesota. Why? Because everyone thinks he will. Instead, Polian will draft RB Joseph Addai from LSU. Why? Because no one expects Addai to go first round, and because no one thinks Polian will draft him. However, if you look at Addai, he has some things that Colts scouts love to see (emphasis mine):

Has excellent timed speed with quick feet and a burst...Outstanding receiver out of the backfield...Runs hard and with power...Strong and can slip tacklers...Patient runner with good balance...Hard worker and team leader with top intangibles...Still has a lot of upside and potential.
His knock is that he's "undersized." Hmmmmm...

He's listed as 5'11'', 214 pounds. Funny, Edgerrin James is listed at 6', 214 pounds. I guess he's undersized too.

I love draft gurus.

Anyway, please click the poll and/or post who Indy will replace Edge with and why. I'm curious to hear all responses. For my part, I think the Colts will draft Addai and split time between him and Rhodes.
