It's here folks. It's finally here. The AFC Championship Game gets hosted in the RCA Dome, pitting the two greatest rivals in football against each other for the right to represent the AFC in Super Bowl 41. This is how it was meant to be folks. This is how the playoffs are supposed to shake out. As Colts fans, we all knew that a rematch was going to happen after the Colts beat the Patriots earlier this season in Foxboro. If you want to become a champion, you must first knock out the champion, and the Patriots have certainly played that way the last few years.
In the beginning of the season, I stated the Patriots would regress and not win their division. Gee, shows you how much I know. What the Patriots have been able to accomplish is nothing sort of amazing. They let Adam Vinatieri, Deoin Branch, and Willie McGinest walk away. They've played without Rodney Harrison most of the season. They've used cast-off players at WR and have gotten amazing production from them, and yet here they are in the AFC Championship Game.
Amazing. The Patriots are truly a great organization, top to bottom.
As far as injuries go, Dallas Clark, Bob Sanders, and Joseph Addai are expected to play. Addai might start again. For the Patriots, they have ruled Rodney Harrsion out.
It's amazing that we, as fans, are still watching our teams play this late into January. Hopefully, our team can overcome the beast that is New England, and we Colts fans can continue to cheer our team going into February. Here's to the AFC Championship Game getting played in Indianapolis, and Go Colts!
