Week Seven: Indianapolis Colts (3-2) at Green Bay Packers (3-3)
Location: Lambeau Field- Green Bay, WI
Kick-off Time: 4:15pm Eastern
Broadcast: CBSSB Nation Co-Blog: Acme Packing Company
After a week of the rollercoaster that was the John McCargo fiasco, we finally get to take our minds off bulging discs and flucked physicals and focus on what we all love and enjoy: A game! Lambeau Field is the most storied stadim in pro football and the Green Bay Packers are pro football's most storied team. You can keep your Cowboys, your Giants, your 49ers.
With the Green Bay Packers, pro football would have no soul. And thus, cease to exist.
The Packers (and by extension, the Colts) are proof the salary cap structure works, and the fact that pro football has a franchise in Green Bay but none in Los Angeles sends a very clear message to those of us who live and watch football in America's heartland. It is a major reason why the NFL dominates other leagues, like the MLB and NBA. And today, our beloved Colts are honored to play this great game on Green Bay's Lambeau Field.
Newly inactive for today are RB Joseph Addai and H-Back Gijon Robinson (tip to AussieColtsFan). Look to see Dominic Rhodes carry the load at RB, and TE Tom Santi will see a lot of time at H-Back. DT Daniel Muir is active for today. This game is a homecoming for Muir. He started his young career in Green Bay, but was cut after preseason this year. Muir should play today, hopefully.
As always, for Packers football love head to Acme Packing Company, SB Nation's cheese factory of Green Bay goodness. Thanks to Brandon and Rhys for answering questions about the Packers here.
We're all looking forward to a fun and well-played game. Go Colts!
