Yes, yes, yes. We've had our fun at the expense of the Patriots and their funny little fans. We've enjoyed our time under their skin, and relish the notion that not only can't they beat big brother's team in a playoff game anymore, but his little brother's team is pretty good at kicking their assess as well. It's been fun watching Bill Belichick lose some of the luster off his reputation, pathetically attempting to explain his boneheaded decision to go for it on 4th and 13, or to walk off the field with time left on the clock at the end of the game.
It's been fun, but it's time to move on.
There is this whole re-investigation into the investigation of Bill Belichick and the Patriots cheating earlier this year. Like with all legal proceedings, I am willing to wait and see what happens. However, I do have to say I am very skeptical of Roger Goodell's involvement in this process. Goodell did a pretty crappy job with the first investigation, and if more comes out in this second one, that will reflect badly on Goodell as well as the Patriots.
This has the potential to be something really, really bad, folks. Like with all things, I'm willing to wait and see, but this could get ugly. Until anything new happens, it's time to move on and focus on the off-season.
