The Colts continue to push towards the post-season as the face a desperate Jets team hoping they can make the post-season tournament as well. News from the various NFL pre-game shows tell us that Peyton Manning will start and play the entire game. However, PhilB reported that the Rachel Nichols' report for ESPN that Manning would play the whole game is false. So, I guess we will have to see what happens. Dwight Freeney will reportedly start, but will be on a "pitch count," which likely means they will play most of their snaps on third down.
Out for today' game are Jerraud Powers, Keyunta Dawson, Clint Session, Robert Mathis, and Pierre Garçon. With Garçon out, the Colts only have three active wide receivers available for the game: Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie, and Hank Baskett. It is likely that Baskett will get his first start as a Colts player. He has played mostly on special teams this year.
I'd like to give a special shout-out to Gang Green Nation, SB Nation's Jets blog. They did a wonderful job cross-blogging this week.
This is your open thread for the game. Enjoy. Go Colts!
