Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina

22. Minnesota Vikings

Drafter: slider09

Reasons for drafting: "I've heard from several people at the Daily Norseman and hands down the biggest need for the Vikings is WR. I believe this team is clearly building around Peterson (and for good reason.) What the Vikings need to do is give their average QB a consistent option at the WR position. Nicks is arguably the best route runner in the draft with the most reliable hands. I believe that is exactly the kind of WR you want playing toss with Sage and opening the field for Peterson. Sure you have speed as an option in Heyward-Bey & Harvin and the size of Britt is appealing as well. I just don't think it wise to roll the dice on combine numbers and take the chance of landing another Troy Williamson. I view Nicks as a much needed staple for a team with an average QB in a run first offense. I would compare the potential of Nicks to T.J Houz & our very own Reggie Wayne. Not super fast, nor do they have great size, but they are consistently making plays at a very high level."

Up next, MaPatsFan stops in and picks for the... burp!... Patriots. Sorry, whenever I say the word "Patriots," hot vomit comes up my throat. They are on the clock...
