I'm waiting until some of the final stats are posted, but in a game with so many players listed as out, for the Colts to gut out this kind of victory was very impressive. The hard hat was worn by the defense today, who needed to carry this team while the offense limps along battling injuries. To limit the Bengals to 72 yards rushing and force Carson Palmer three interceptions was awesome to see.
And how about Kelvin Hayden. His 31-yard INT for a TD in the first quarter was huge. He also recorded nine tackles. Hayden has struggled all season. To see him bounce back like this was encouraging. It was also fun to see Javarris James bash his way into the endzone for his third TD of the season.
Oh, and ho-hum; Adam Vinatieri went 3-3, including a 47-yarder just before halftime.
Hats off to the Bengals and their fans. This was a tough win, but a big win for the Colts after both the Texans and the Titans lost today. Indy is 6-3 and currently sits alone atop the AFC South.
