Colts Sign Former-Vikings 2010 Draft Pick Nathan Triplett

Big tip to Ty46 for catching this.

The Colts have added linebacker Nathan Triplett to their roster page. Not quite sure yet if Triplett is on the active roster or the practice squad. Likely, with linebacker Cody Glenn being placed on the injured reserve list yesterday and Brandon James being waived, Triplett is on the active roster.

Triplett was drafted this year in the fifth round by the Minnesota Vikings, but he didn't make the final cut before the start of the regular season. He was signed by the Chargers in October before getting cut again.

Triplett played his college ball at Minnesota. At 6'3, 250 pounds, he is a BIG linebacker for the Colts; much bigger than they normally utilize. He's known as a run stuffer who struggles in coverage. Likely, the Colts are looking for Triplett to contribute on special teams.

[UPDATE]: Phil Wilson is now confirming the signing of Triplett to the active roster.
