AUSTIN COLLIE CONFIRMED BACK BY CALDWELL FOR JAX!

Austin Collie expected to return for Colts

The Colts got a long weekend after their win in Tennessee to re-group, get healthy, and prepare for a three-game stretch run in which they probably need to win every week to make the playoffs.

Indianapolis won’t get everyone back in the mix this week, but sounds like wide receiver Austin Collie will be on the field against Jacksonville.

He looks good, and looks like he’s going to be able to play,” Colts coach Jim Caldwell said Thursday via John Oesher of the Indy Football Report.

Cornerback Kelvin Hayden also seems likely to return, while linebacker Clint Session and starting left tackle Charlie Johnson are less certain. It looks like running back Joseph Addai will remain sidelined.

Getting Collie back is huge. Jacksonville’s biggest weakness is in the secondary. They don’t have the numbers — especially at safety — to match up with Indianapolis’ passing game. Undrafted rookie Blair White has experienced a number of communication problems and Collie is a big upgrade.

In our PFT Picks, Florio took the Jaguars to win the AFC South on Sunday. I like the Colts to win at home.
