Colts show interest in Freddie Barnes and Chris McCoy

The Colts have taken an interest in Middle Tennessee State pass rusher Chris McCoy. McCoy visited the Colts recently, one of many pre-Draft visits held by Bill Polian and his personnel staff. At 6'3, 261 pounds, McCoy is very similar to Dwight Freeney. McCoy logged a 4.70 40 at his Pro Day, which puts him in the same speed class as Ricky Sapp and Carlos Dunlap.

It's rumored that the Colts had McCoy in Indy for a two-day visit, which included a workout. He logged seven sacks and 64 tackles his senior year.

Another player the Colts have a rumored interest in is 6', 206 pound Biletnikoff Award finalist Freddie Barnes from Bowling Green. Barnes decimated some serious NCAA records in 2009. He caught 155 passes for 1,770 yards and an a mind-blowing 19 touchdowns.

19-friggin-TDs!

How did this kid not win the Biletnikoff Award? I know Golden Tate had a great 2009 season, but he didn't have no 19 touchdowns. Barnes can also return kicks. He ran a 4.67 at his college Pro Day.
