Stampede Blue and CBS Sports team up for Fantasy Football!

It's summer, which means it's time to start thinking about fantasy football. With all the FFLs we do here, along with the AMAZING predictions games mgrex03 has run the last two years, I'm half-tempted to just dump the "Let's talk about the Colts" element for this blog and focus solely on fantasy football!

However, since I'm much better at talking about the Colts than I am setting up a fantasy sports roster (which should tell you just how much I suck at fantasy), the virtual team building component of this blog likely will not dominate the site content.

That said, LET'S TALK FANTASY FOOTBALL!

We've done a few fantasy football leagues in the past (hint: I've lost every. single. one. of. them) and this year along with SB Nation we've teamed up with CBSSports.com to do one.

The big difference this year is that it's a paid league. Several SB Nation bloggers have told me that it's one of the few, and maybe the only paid league that's worth it.

Kevin, Redskins blogger, said: "I've used CBSSports.com the last ten years with 12 teams. It by far is the best league out there which is why they charge $. Teams can write mock news articles on the homepage. I'm excited for this. The admin console you can customize ANYTHING imaginable with rules and teams."

Mock news articles on the home page sounds very cool. I can see this one already forming: "Team MGrex lays legendary beatdown on Team BigBlueShoe Schmuckzilla."

The league we're doing is the CBSSports.com Fantasy Football Commissioner League.

So this league normally costs $180, but our deal with CBS Sports gets us 50% off. So, if you're interested in this league, make sure you use this link to get the 50% off. We'd recommend doing ten teams per league. The total would be $90 so about $9 per person. Plus, with the amount of trash talk that I'll be doing, you'll probably want to be in on it.

One person will set up the league and take the hit on the $90 (14-day free trial so you're not committing immediately) then others will join the league. We'll help with any coordination of payouts and/or setting up leagues if you need it.

This announcement is fairly new, and I have not had any time to coordinate with Matt (mgrex03) or Cass. However, if you want to get started setting up a league, please do so and email any one of us.

Disclosure: CBSSports.com is an SB Nation partner and paying sponsor of the SB Nation football communities. This post is one of a series of sponsor endorsed posts related to the CBSSports.com Fantasy Football Commissioner League.
