Colts confirm Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis reported for 2010 training camp

Mike Chappell at the Indy Star gives us the good news:

The Indianapolis Colts returned to Anderson University today for the first time since 1998 for the start of training camp, and every player expected to be on hand reported.

That included wide receiver Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis. The team confirmed each player was on campus prior to the 2 p.m. check-in deadline.

The only player who has yet to report is Jerry Hughes. He is still, as yet, unsigned despite Jahvid Best (selected just before Hughes) and Patrick Robinson (picked just after Hughes) having signed with their respective teams. PhilB seems to think that Hughes will be signed by Monday's first practice tomorrow. Let's hope he's right.

Also, no word as to whether or not Reggie showed up with a "message" for the team like he's done in year's past. Last year, he arrived at camp in a dump truck and wearing a hard hat. The message was clear. This year, perhaps because Colts players were denied to the media on reporting day for the first time in the Manning era, we've been denied a "Reggie moment" to start camp.
