When Mike Chappell reported that Brackett's hand x-rays came back negative, most people breathed a huge sigh of relief. I personally exhaled about half-way, waiting for the other shoe to drop... or I guess in this case... for the other glove.

This morning on CBS Rapid Reports, Tom James reported these two nuggets:

Team president Bill Polian said Saturday that LB Gary Brackett has a bruised right hand. Brackett was hurt in the first quarter of Thursday night's game at Green Bay. No word on how long Brackett will be sidelined.

and

Returning for Saturday's late afternoon practice were LB Gary Brackett (hand), TE Dallas Clark (leg), RB Joseph Addai (concussion) and WR Austin Collie (unspecified injury).

On further investigation, Mike Chappell reported this morning that

Brackett went through the Colts' light workout Saturday with just a light wrap on his right hand.

Given that Brackett's hand was wrapped, and the workout was only a light one, we might still need to temper expectations. However, this is still very welcome news.
