For the first time since 1941, the storied Midwestern rivalry between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers will add a new chapter in the setting known as the NFL playoffs. Both franchises have battled with each other since 1921, when straw hats were in fashion and drinking beer in any setting, let alone at a game, would have gotten you thrown in prison.
For me, even though the Colts are out of the playoff picture, it's kind of neat to see a rivalry this old get played out in the biggest possible stage: The Conference Championship.
In terms of today's game between the Bears and Seahawks (which Chicago won 35-24 in a contest that was much more of a blowout than the final score indicates), it was also cool to see old Colts players like Tim Jennings, Raheem Brock, and Brandon Stokley making positive contributions for their respective teams. Even current Colts corner Jerraud Powers was Tweeting about how well Jennings played today.
The later game is Jets at Patriots. Keep your barf bags handy for that one.
