In the Straight Up Contest this week, we had all but 2 favorites win. The two underdogs that won out right were San Francisco and Tampa Bay. Only 4 people got the Niners game correct while Brisbane Bullitts was the ONLY reader to pick the Bucs over the Saints. This weeks winner was Crazy Blue Sniffer who got 12 out of 13 correct (only missing New Orleans). Overall, Lord Help Our Colts still holds a slim one game lead with 66 out of 90 correct.
Against the Spread this week was a much tougher proposition. Only 4 games had readers get the game correct more than 50% of the time. For the whole week, we only got 43% of the games correct. The top score this week was 8 out of 13 correct. There were 11 readers that hit that mark. Overall, Lord Help Our Colts took the top spot in this contest as well. The highest score overall is 52 of 85 correct. A testament to the our faith in the Colts is that only 3 readers thought the Bengals would win by more than 7. It didn't work out so well for us, but hey, we believe.

We still have 7 undefeated teams spread over the 13 leagues. Just for the balancing side of things there are 6 teams that haven't won a game at all. High scorer this week was the Purple Swirlies with 166 points. That team was in the overall points lead so that just stretched it out. They have scored 923.95 over 6 weeks and are one of the 6 & 0 teams. The biggest blowout this week was in League 13 where Speed of sound tour won by 70.1 points. In a curious coincidence, this is that same amount as the biggest win from last week.
I'm gonna take a little personal license here, Matt Forte stopped getting carries with about 10 minutes and three Bears possessions left in the blowout of the Vikings on Sunday night. I ended up losing by less than 4 points in my game thanks to inability of the Vikes to keep the game close. Forte had nearly 13 points in the first half and finished with 18. It was heartbreaking to see Marion Barber get the TD and icing carries at the end of the game. That could have won my game for me.
The closest game of the week was in League 10 where Freeney Fanatic and AsianSensation721 played to within 0.4 points of each other. Mgrex's Statistical Anomaly teams had a rough week going just 4 & 9. As a side note, Matt's team in League 12 is 0 & 6 having given up 856.3 points so far. League 5 is still having the closest games with this weeks average differential at 15.5 points, a full 2 points lower than the next closest average.
I know for my fantasy life, this week stinks! I have one league where due to injuries and byes, all my starters save one are guys I picked up this week. Heck of a job planning by me, right? Anyway, good luck and hope you're playing my team as it should be a easy week for you.
