NFL Week 12 Preview: Panthers At Colts, Marvin Harrison In Ring Of Honor

Colts running back Joseph Addai is looking to make his return to the field today. He's bee dealing with a hamstring. Addai practiced all week, and the Colts seemed satisfied with his health to the point where they cut reserve running back Darren Evans and re-signed him to the practice squad.

Delone Carter and Donald Brown are still likely to carry the load for Indy today. Look for Addai to suit up, but play as an emergency third running back.

These two teams have only met 4 times before, with the Panthers winning 3 of them. The lone win for the Colts came in their last meeting in 2007, a 31-7 beatdown in Charlotte, which sent the Colts to 7-0 on the season the week before the big showdown with the undefeated Patriots (those were the days...). The last time Carolina came here to Indy John Kasay nailed a Field Goal in OT to beat the Colts 23-20, a game I attended. The Colts only lost 4 times in 2003, and I saw two of them live.

Also, during halftime today, the Colts will induct Marvin Harrison as a member of their 'Ring of Honor.' You can read testimonials to Harrison's greatness here at Colts.com, including quotes from Jim Harbaugh, Bill Polian, and Tony Dungy.

The best quote is from Peyton Manning, and it says all you need to know:

"There are so many great things about Marvin Harrison. I always used to talk to defensive backs (of other teams) in the off-season and asked them, ‘Who is the hardest receiver to cover?’ All of them in the past decade would say, ‘Marvin Harrison.’
