Know You Colts History: First Week Without Football

Know Your Colts History

So what do you do on the first Sunday without Football? For most of us Sunday's are all day football events. From the first pre-game to show until the last highlight has aired, we consume it all. So what do we do now that there is no football to fill our day?

In past years, this Sunday would have been the Pro Bowl. We could have at least pretended that was football although we all know it's really not. That would have been something. But sadly, the Pro Bowl was two weeks ago so that's out.

Like many of you, I have all the games from the season stored for later viewing. We could go back and watch some of those. It's just not the same though. The excitement of the first watch of a Colts game is like nothing else. I'm just not ready to go back through the season yet.

We could start focusing on a new sport until next season. Pitchers and Catchers report on Monday. Maybe if we dive into baseball or basketball it won't hurt as bad. Then again, there are only really 3 or 4 teams in the NBA that have a chance to win everything. The MLB is just as bad. You could devote three months to a team that is out of the running before the season starts. That's just disheartening. You could watch golf, but I find that better to sleep through than actually watch.

Man, this is tough. Maybe we should start focusing on the labor talks. That's at least in the realm of football. We should dig in and learn all that we can about who is demanding what and who walked out of the last meeting and why. But that gets old very quickly. I can't seem to make myself care about the fights of millionaires and billionaires. I can't see how my understanding it all will make the resolution happen any more quickly.

So what's a sports fan to do. I've gone through all the possibilities I can think of. None seem to be the fit for the day. I guess that's why they invented YouTube. Nothing better than wasting a day watching stupid videos. Here's some to get you started.

I can't get enough of that auto-tune stuff! Love it!
