Super Bowl XLV Prop Bets Contest Results

I apologize for taking so long on this, but I got distracted with work and other SB Nation commitments. We had half the people make money, and half the people lose money, which is a little quirky. Break even point is $2000, so you can see how well you did.

Congratulations to our winner, Colteyes, who more than doubled his (fake) money, and only skipped one bet. Overall, there were 41 people who would have won money, including my $36 winnings, which is about what I won in real life, without spending $2000 in bets.

Some of the bets were not game related, so I'll go through those with the winners:

• Winner of Coin Toss: Packers. That makes it 14 years in a row the NFC has won the Coin toss. Remember, next year is once again 50/50.
• How many times will FOX mention "Brett Favre" during the game? Under 2.5. Unless somebody can prove it with them mentioning him, I don't remember them mentioning him even once.
• What will the TV Rating be? 46.0 (Push). Highest rated TV show in US Television history, for the second year in a row. Just think what it would have been had Jerry Jones not tried to cram all of Texas into the Stadium..
• Which Super Bowl commercial will have a higher rating on USA Today's annual Ad Meter? Doritos and Bud Light. Since there was a tie this year, .if you had either of them you won! I personally liked Darth Vader and VW the best, but alas it didn't win.
• What will happen to the Dow Jones the day after the Super Bowl? Market Up. The market was up 69 points last Monday.
• What will happen with the Stock Market the day after Super Bowl XLIV? Saints Win, Market Down. Once again, the Stock Market is down the day after the Super Bowl. Over the past 5 years, the only time the Market was up after the Super Bowl was when the Colts won in 2007. The country needs the Colts to win, and the NFL should just comply.

• Total TD's in Super Bowl vs. Total Goals in Penguins/Capitals game (2/6/11): TDs (7 to 3). The Capitals won 3-0 against the Penguins last Sunday.
• Ben Hansbrough Assists vs. Heath Miller Receptions: Hansbrough (5 to 2). The Irish defeated Rutgers 76-69, and Hansbrough had 5 assists in the win. Heath Miller was a non-factor, catching only 2 balls for 12 yards.
• Sidney Crosby Points vs. Ben Roethlisberger TD Passes: No Play. Crosby is still out with a head injury, so can't have this bet.
• Alex Ovechkin Points vs. Aaron Rodgers TD Passes: Rodgers (3 to 0). Even though the Capitals won, Ovechkin didn't have any points.
• Aaron Rodgers Completions vs. Dwyane Wade Points: Wade (28 to 24). The Heat beat the Clippers 97-79, their 5th straight win.
