OK, I'm done talking about greedy owners and labor talks and all that. Regardless of whether or not these knuckleheads will iron out a labor deal, or whether a judge will order a working deal... I honestly don't care either way right now. Let's focus on something positive before we all lose our minds.
The positive is that there will be a NFL Draft in 2011, and once again SB Nation will be there. I was there last year, running around Radio City Music Hall as draft picks came off the board left and right. This year, if the lockout is still going on, I suspect the draft will have a more subdued look and feel. It will also be interesting if players show up for the draft. Von Miller, the Texas A&M linebacker many think is a first rounder, is named as a plaintiff in the players antitrust case against the NFL.
Still, even if the draft is less glitzy than in years past, it is still an exciting event that we care about. It's also something to look forward to as we sit and wait for the labor situation to get remedied.
